Narragansett, RI Engagement Session on Scarborough Beach {Erin + Brian + Braiden}

Amazingly, in the midst of the heat wave earlier this week, the weather cooled down for one night, providing the perfect temperature, a light breeze, a calm ocean, and that golden beachy evening light that seems to last forever. It was truly the perfect day to photograph Erin and Brian's engagement session with their son, Braiden. Erin and Brian are getting married next month at The Towers in Narragansett, RI and we photographed their engagement session just down the road at Scarborough Beach. With such amazing weather, all of the beaches were packed full of families enjoying the day, but we were lucky to find a little alcove with flat sand, beautiful rocks and a distant jetty as our backdrop. I had such a great time photographing these three because they are so fun loving and cheerful and totally up for getting their feet wet and just enjoying the time together. I cannot wait for their big day next month! Until then, enjoy some previews from their engagement session!

Quincy, MA Yoga Photo Shoot at Wollaston Beach {w/ Rachel Hunt Yoga}

Five years ago, I completed my 200-hour teacher training at Prana Power Yoga in Cambridge, MA and I feel so lucky that our training group was so large because it introduced me to many incredible people. Forty like-minded souls shared a pretty intense few weeks, creating a forever bond between us all. Now, even when I haven't seen my fellow teacher trainees in a while, we can always pick up right where we left off. {Of course, thanks to Facebook and Instagram for that as well!}

One of those amazing teacher trainee friends is Rachel Hunt and I am so grateful that she reached out for a yoga photo shoot because it was so great to get together, meet her gorgeous baby Sam, and shoot some rockstar yoga photographs to promote her teaching. Rachel is an amazing person, totally down to earth, absolutely beautiful inside and out, and, of course, a kick-butt yoga teacher. I highly recommend taking a class with her! She is currently teaching at Suite Pilates {Dover, NH}, Bodies In Bloom {Greenland, NH} and The Works {Sommersworth, NH}. Long Beach, CA Yoga Photo Shoot on the Beach {w/ Nina Petruzzo Yoga}

Three years ago, the lovely Nina Petruzzo reached out to me to set up her first ever yoga photo shoot. We had a blast shooting throughout the Boston Commons, Beacon Hill and Acorn Street, capturing the charm of Boston, the city she grew up in, as our backdrop. Shortly after, Nina moved out to California and I am so glad that we've been able to stay in touch. Earlier this year, while out on the West Coast for a family wedding, we were lucky enough to take one of Nina's classes and let me tell you, Boston is missing out! Nina's queueing is spot on, even my husband and brother-in-law {first-timer} were able to follow along and really enjoy the class. Fast forward to last week, my husband and I were back out in California for another wedding so, naturally, I reached out to Nina to see if we could set up a private class for our family. We felt so fortunate that it worked out! Let me tell you, there is just nothing better than yoga by the ocean, shaded by palm trees, and the most amazing breeze. Thomas' entire family raved about Nina the rest of the afternoon and I have to agree, her class was absolutely perfect! If you're in Southern California, I highly recommend taking a class with Nina at Buddhi Yoga and Yoga Bound, joining for yoga at the breweries through Hoppy Yoga or contacting Nina for a private session.

Beforehand, we were able to meet up for a quick yoga mini session and I am so excited to share some previews with you!
